PR1MA Housing Programme

February 25, 2013

The government has launched PR1MA housing programme, a programme which involves the development of low-cost houses with affordable prices for the middle-income group in Malaysia. The middle-income group stated is referring to Malaysian individuals or couples with thier monthly household income ranging from RM2500 to Rm7500.
According to Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib,he is fully aware of the financial constrain suffered by the middle income group in the major cities who wished to purchase a property with a hiking prices which seems to be farfetched due to their average income.PR1MA is one of various initiatives implemented by the government to aid the citizens to manage their cost of living in urban areas.Besides,PR1MA will be the first that exclusively targets this middle segment with homes ranging from RM100,000 to RM400,000 in a sustainable society.
In my humble opinion, this is indeed a wise move as it will not only balanced the development between the urbans and suburbans, but also provide a solution for middle-income group to be able to own a house of their own.
In order to apply for a house,

Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen.
