I cannot stop myself from listening to this song repeatedly. First of all, I was surprised to find out that James Arthur hails from Middlesbrough, UK when I was practically there doing my medical elective! All I know about him is that he is the winner of X Factor and nothing more than that. Turns out there were couple of issues that happened to him and he suffered anxiety and depression for quite some time before returning back to music industry.

He has released his second studio album "Back From The Edge" in October 2016 where most of the songs reflect his hardship and struggles throughout the years. "Can I Be Him" music video portrays him standing in the metro having eye contact with two girls. The soulful song highlights his incredible and passionate vocals. On 23rd of September 2015. English electronic duo Disclosure released a new song, "Magnets" from their third studio album "Caracal" featuring vocals from the eminent New Zealand singer Lorde. I am really attracted to the music and the lyrics of the song. Hows and whys I do not know. Apart from that, multiple artists such as Jon Hopkins , A-Trak and the likes have created various versions of remixes from this song. Prior to the John Lewis's 2015 Christmas adverts, Aurora Aksnes was just a typical 19 years old Norwegian singer from Bergian, Norway, who was striving for a spot in the music industry. Through blogs and Soundcloud, she was already garnering a reputable number of fans who were intrigued by her soft and melodious voice. She then started to get attentions from the public especially in the United Kingdom and Ireland when she recorded a cover of  Oasis's "Half the World Away" for one of the famous retailers in the country, John Lewis's  Christmas advertisement this year. Personally I find this cover is fantastic and her voice is as appealing as her appearance (she looks gorgeous)! I am looking forward to listening more of her songs in the future. On 3 November 2015, Sia releases her second single, "Bird Set Free" from her seventh album, "This Is Acting". After keeping the release date of "This Is Acting" a mystery, Sia finally revealed the date which will be on 29 January next year as well as the album's cover image. Should you try to relate the song to Sia, you might find the story a little bit odd for her. "Bird Set Free" was actually written in collaboration with Adele. In fact, the song was originally intended for Adele's latest studio album "25" but the song did not make it onto the final song list. Hence, Sia included the song into her own album instead.


Well, that changes the story entirely and the song is literally about Adele! Does it make sense to you? The song was about Adele who suffered from a vocal cord haemorrhage due to a benign polyp and she had to cancel part of her shows in order to undergo laser microsurgery back in 2011. Although her surgery was a success, she was told not to speak for two months. Also, deep in her heart, she told herself that no matter what happened to her voice, she would never give up singing. Welcome back Adele Adkins! It has been too long since your last album, about four years to be exact. She has previously won six Grammy awards and sold more than 30 million copies of her last album "21" worldwide. On 22nd of October this year, the British singer-songwriter released her new lead single "Hello", from her third studio album "25". Within a mere five days, the music video hit a 100 million views on Youtube!. In addition, "Hello" has also been downloaded over 1 million times in the first week. The song is mostly accompanied by a piano and drums and the chorus itself features Adele's amazing vocals. Contrary to the belief where the song is about her ex-beau who inspired her previous album "21", Adele explained that "Hello" is actually talks about growing up and finding herself again.

Personally I find the song really really nice! I cannot stop myself from listening it over and over again, just like what I did previously with "Someone Like You" and "Rolling In The Deep". British producer Naughty Boy has just released his new single, "Runnin' (Lose It All)" from his upcoming second album on 17 September 2015. Naughty Boy whose real name is Shahid Khan, is a British DJ, musician and producer is otherwise known for hits such as "La La La" featuring Sam Smith and "Lifted" featuring Emeli Sande. The interesting factor of "Runnin' (Lose It All) is that it features vocals from several singers, including the one and only Beyoncé Knowles (Queen Bey) as well as singer Arrow Benjamin.

Personally, I find the music video is so intriguing! Charlie Robins, the director of this music video says that it is about a couple searching for each other in the enormity of the sea. Both of them are submerged in water chasing each other from the opposite ends of the ocean with a passionate, well-choreographed moves.The characters in the music video are starred by Alice Modolo, a 30-year-old free driver and dentist by profession and world-champion free diver Guillaume Néry. Sia has released a new single from her upcoming album "This Is Acting", which is made up entirely of songs written for other artists such as Beyonce and Rihanna -just to name a few. Her first single, "Alive" from the album was co-written with British singer-songwriters Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. and originally intended for Adele's next album. Nonetheless, Adele rejected the song at the last minute. Sia later offered the song to Rihanna (without Adele's vocal as Adele told Sia that she did not want her vocal to be floating around on a demo)  where she had "seller's remorse" once the track was sent to the her for she felt that she was too attached to the song. When Rihanna too rejected the song and returned it to her, Sia felt relieved. In the end, Sia decided to include the song into her own album.

"I'm calling it 'This Is Acting' because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking. This is something I would say. It's more like play-acting. It's fun." -Sia told NME in February.

However, Sia has not announced the release date for her "This Is Acting" album but it is expected later this year or early next year. On 24/9/2015, Sia unleashed "Alive" in audio on YouTube and it has accumulated more than three million views just within few days. Personally , I feel that the  powerhouse pop song with magnificent vocal performance suits well with Sia! The lyrics were empowering and she nails the vocals amazingly. What do you think of the song?
