Ahh, the joy you achieved upon finish reading a story book. It is like you can finally toss the boulder on your shoulder far far away! That was what I did for the past few days. Spending days and nights straining my eyes and busy flickering the e-book that I have downloaded, I finally reached the ending of the storybook "A Splendid Thousand Suns". Indeed. the title of the book has vividly depicts the sorrow and heart-breaking story. It makes me wonder how could Khaled thought of such devastating plots. In tandem, the plots are intriguing, luring the readers to spend their time on the book. The stories revolve around the life of two women, Mariam and Laila. Initially, Mariam's childhood life was described and after going through plethora of ordeals, she ended up marrying a shoemaker named Rasheed. During the war in Afghanistan, Rasheed then married Laila, who was tricked by Rasheed, thinking her lover Tariq was dead in the battlefield. Both Mariam and Laila were ill-treated by Rasheed and series of unfortunate events happen to them. They tried to flee from Rasheed yet their plan had failed miserably and leading to beatings and punchings by Rasheed. During the climax of the story, Mariam killed Rasheed with a shovel in order to prevent Laila from being choked to death by that monster. Laila insisted Mariam to leave Kabul with her to start a new life. However, Mariam declined Laila's offer and surrendered herself to the authority. She was eventually executed for killing her own husband. Laila, on the other hand, moved to Ireland with Tariq and her children for several years after the war ended. Then she visit Mariam's former home, Herat before proceeded back to Kabul.

• Do You know who you are?

• Do You understand what has happened to you?

• Do You want to live this way?    -Cristina Yang of Grey's Anatomy

Hiiiiiiiii guys!Upon watching Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 17 a while ago, I find these three questions are very meaningful. They hit me hard, making me wondering what is the purpose of my life. What have I done in the past and present that will affect my future. In short, my past and present actions determines the way of my life today and tomorrow. Selecting courses for higher education is undoubtedly stressful and it can makes you cry #exaggerating. Each steps that I have made shapes the way I will be in the future. Medicine course- doctor . Law course- lawyer . Economic course- Economics and the list goes on. Personally speaking, I think medicine course is actually alright. It is just that the assignments given that made me busy all the day and night. For the theory part, all I can say is that it requires me to study consistently. Last minute studies, hmmm not highly encouraged. Practically I learn new lessons everyday. For the third question, my answer is absolutely positively NO. Who would ever want to study for the rest of his/her life? Probably there are few people fond of that, but definitely not me. Similar to my situation, these must be floating in the minds of secondary school graduates right now. They have just gotten their SPM or STPM results this month. While some managed to obtain scholarships, the rest are funded by their parents. But most important of all, they are all cracking their heads, killing thousands of brain cells, deciding their education pathways. My advice is , take it easy, do lots of research , and only made decisions when you are sure of it. Good luck. Stick around for more posts. Au revoir.

Few days ago, I have just probably found the cutest video ever via YouTube. It is about a Korean girl teaching valuable life lesson from her mother to reject strangers' offers and invitations to her. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a hilarious video with the girl accepting offers without hesitation. In tandem, the naive girl seems to be bewildered as why she cannot accept strangers' invitations. Check out the video below and feel free to leave any comments. :]

My thoughts are with the members of the victim, This week, we are all but devastated of the current news where one of Malaysia Airlines safest models of airplane went missing on 8th of March 2014 during it's flight from Kota Baru, Malaysia to Beijing, China. Some 227 passengers with 12 crews were in the plane, and most of the passengers were Chinese. Investigations were carried out hours after the plane disappeared from Malaysia's control tower's radar. Several countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, China, Japan and others generously offered their assistance in hope of searching the lost plane. To their chagrin, the efforts turned out to be of no results. There were lots of assumptions and speculations in the air, such as terrorists hijacked the plane/ the plane's system was malfunctioned and the list goes on and on. Both China and Malaysia are having intense pressure from not only the victims' families, as well as the societies, demanding for clear explanations yet to no avail. All but we can do is only to hope that the plane will be found and all the passengers are safe and sound. Let us #PrayforMH370 .

Recently, (which was on Tuesday) Katy Perry released her Dark Horse music video. Dark Horse is Katy's third single from her latest album, Prism. The music video is in colourful Egyptian-style, where  Katy Perry plays "Cleopatra" entity, or should I say "Kleopatra". Kleopatra is a junk-food lover and men are coming from all over the place with grand and expensive gifts in order to get her.
In my humble opinion, the music video looks interesting and eye-catching! Besides, I ma totally addicted to the song. Oh god, Katy Perry is definitely one of my favourite singer! Enjoy the video below! Ciao :)

Lately, I have been extremely busy with all the never-ending assignments, self-studying the lessons that I have missed while I was having a vacation in Taiwan with self-declared holidays, society meetings and paraphernalia. That is the main reason for me being unable to consistently update my blog! Anyways, today I am going to talk about my friends. Aha wait, not just friends, but great friends that I have made back in college. These ridiculously intelligent and funny and cheeky (and the list goes on and on) friends of mine are going to overseas to further their studies while I am stranded in the same old , multicultural, not to mention exotic country that I have been living for the past 19 years! They are going to Australia of course if you might have been wondering. Just for your information, most of the Australian universities' intakes are mainly on February. Also, there are friends who have gone to other states to study as well. So yeah, already I merely could not even get to meet up with them while they were here due to my terrifying schedules, now the chances are even thinner. Well, I have already expected this when I picked up this course. Thus, we will just have to spare some of our holidays to meet up then. I would like to take this opportunity to wish u guys all the best in universites and study smart! (particularly to Jessica and Bosco) That's all for now. I have to continue to work on my assignments now. Stick around for next post! Till then, au revoir! :)
