After competing against a staggering 550 talented contestants in Malaysia, Ngu Yi Qi emerged as the winner to represent Malaysia in the third season of Chinese reality talent show the Voice of China. Ngu Yi Qi  managed to win over other popular local talents such as Suki Low, Gary Yap and Winson Voon in the open audition which was held in Malaysia back in June. Yi Qi, originated from Johor Bahru, went by stage name Virus Ngu previously and was the second runner up in Malaysia's Pop Star 2011 as well as top ten finalists in Taiwan's One Million Star 2 (2012). She was the youngest amongst her siblings of four. Besides, she gets full support and encouragement from her music-loving mother to pursue her interest in performing on stage. Even at merely age of four, Qi Yi started learning to play piano. Having experienced a wide array of challenges leads Yi Qi to be mentally as well as physically prepared for the upcoming competition.
During fourth bind audition which was on 8th of August, Ngu Yi Qi performed 落叶归根 by Wang Leehom and her graceful voice garnered attention from three out of four judges; namely Chyi Chin, Wang Feng and Yang Kun. In the end she selected Chyi Chin as her mentor! May the best be in her favour in this third season of The Voice Of China! What do you think about Wendy's performance?
