Tar Baby The Dog Saved From Tar Pool In India
October 03, 2014My faith in humanity is restored!A five-month old stray dog fell into hot tar spilled around a construction site in Udaipur, Northern India, Covered in tar, the helpless dog could not move and was on the verge of death. Fortunately, a passer-by spotted the dog, which was given nickname as TAR BABY, and contacted Animal Aid Unlimited, a local rescue center for street animals in India. According to Claire Abrams from the street animal welfare group, "We sent an ambulance and our rescuers managed to pull him out and bring him to our shelter". She further added," We could see his eyes darting back and forth in a panic, but otherwise he couldn't move a muscle." The group of rescuers then used vegetable oil to remove the tar from the poor dog for about four hours before taking it back to the shelter. Few days later, the tar was completely removed from its body. Although TAR BABY is safe, it is petrified by the incident for the first few days.
