If you have a penchant for healthy indoor Korean barbeque buffet, then TCL restaurant (金韩村) might the perfect choice for you! My friends and I went to this restaurant for the first time to try the food which is located near the Sutera Mall, Johor Bahru! The environment of the place was pretty good and we happened to the their first customers at that time. It was a buffet style lunch with RM 34.90++ (excluding GST) per pax. The price was considerably decent since there were various kind of meats for us to choose, not to mention six types of soup base for the korean pot.

Furthermore, in the event that you visit the restaurant on your birthday, you get a 50% discount! Being avid kimchi consumers, we decided to order a kimchi based kroean pot. There were all kind of flavoured-meats you could think of, ranging from pork sliced, pork neck, pork belly, spicy bbq chicken , curry chicken, miso chicken, ox ribs, prawns, squids, scallops to capelin, dory fish , squids and the likes. In addition, the restaurant used a unique infrared BBQ on parchment papers. Not only the meats would not get burnt quickly, you also get to replace the charred parchment papers at your own desire. Other than the bbq food and korean pots, there was also pancakes with a wide array of flavours. 

Besides, there were also free flow drinks as well as ice-cream as desserts! Basically the buffet was really worth it considering that the amount that we ate for that day (mind you, we have appetites of cavemen). Overall, it was a great experience and we had a hearty meal in the restaurant. We will definitely return again in the future. What do you think about TCL Restaurant?
