"Rise" is a song by American singer Katy Perry. The song is released on 15 July 2016 by Capitol Records and it is also featured as an anthem for NBC's coverage of the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. "Rise" is written by Katy Perry herself as well as Savan Kotecha, Max Martin and Ali Payami.

"This is a song that's been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface," Perry said about the song. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite. I know that together we can rise above the fear — in our country, and around the world... I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be, ... Katy commanded the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, revealing her intention to vote for Hilary Clinton. In addition, she also gave the first live performance of "Rise" later that night. Following the next day, the music video for the song was released and it featured eminent athletes such as Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, swimmer Missy Franklin, gymnastics star Simone Biles, not to mention members of the U.S. women's soccer team.
