iPhone 6 and Apple Watch

September 11, 2014

Yesterday was literally the biggest day for Apple fans! Apple has finally unveils the latest model of iPhone, iPhone 6 during the Apple event which was held at Cupertino, California on September 9, 2014. Instead of announcing one new model of iPhone 6, the giant technology company releases two models, with both of them being bigger sizes than their predecessor, iPhone 5S. While iPhone 5S screen measures 4 inches, the screen of iPhone 6 is 4.6 inches and iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches, which are significantly bigger. In addition, both of the new models are comparatively thinner than iPhone 5S.

At a thickness of 0.28 inches, iPhone 6 Plus is just a hair thicker than the 0.27-inch of iPhone 6. In terms of weight, the slightly heavier iPhone 6 Plus weighs 6.07 ounces while iPhone 6 weighs 4.55 ounces. With its bigger size, Apple fully utilise the size by making the capacity of the battery of iPhone 6 Plus bigger, hence it has longer battery life than the smaller iPhone 6. Although both iPhone models use same 8 megapixels on their rear cameras, iPhone 6 Plus has more advantage by having Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Consequently, users are able to capture crystal-clear image since OIS automatically detects and offsets the shaky gestures made by them while taking picture which results to bluriness.

Furthermore, iPhone 6 Plus also features landscape mode on the homescreen. Besides, both iPhones will run on 64-bit A8 processor, not to mention new iOS 8 Software, which will be available on Sept 17. For more information visit http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/

ONE MORE THING...

Simply the favourite phrase that would be used by the late Steve Jobs, Tim Cook used the phrase to reveal the final surprise of the event, the long-rumoured iWatch. However, Tim Cook named the first series of Apple's smartwatch as Apple Watch. The smartwatch comes in two sizes- notably men's and women's editions, with six different straps created by Apple itself. There are sports band, a leather loop that uses magnets for fastening, and a second leather model that uses a metal clasp.

Besides its precise and customizable appearance, Apple Watch allows its users to communicate directly from their wrists , not to mention monitors their health and fitness. It has a touchscreen that are able to distinguish a tap and a long press, which access contextual menus. The most interesting thing of the watch in my opinion is that it charges inductively! Apple Watch will be available on early 2015. For more information, visit http://www.apple.com/watch/
