The Makers Week 2014

Organised by Project Renaissance, The Makers Week 2014 is a week long event with the objective of celebrating Makers Culture, The aim is to celebrate creators who have made their ideas into actions as well as show the community and industries that anything is possible to be made by using 3D printing. The Makers Week 2014 mainly focuses on 3D printing in order to address the huge impacts that 3D printing has made in various fields including education, engineering, design, healthcare, and the likes. The industry people will be giving live talks, workshops and showcase of some actual 3D products based on case studies.


In conjunction with The Makers Week 2014, Project Renaissance is launching a 3D designing competition with the objective of giving opportunities to the public to have practical experience in utilising 3D designing software to create a 3D design that can be produced by using 3D printer. There is no age limit for the competition and tutorials are provided for beginners to explore and learn the technique of using TINKERCAD, the 3D designing software,


The winner of the 3D design competition will be given a RM7.000 worth of V-811 3D Printer for free! The deadline of the competition will be on 30 September 2014 and the winner will be announced on 17 October 2014 at Hall Of Awesomeness at Mindvalley Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur!
